Child Rights in Serbia - Monitoring the Recommendations of the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child and Universal Periodic Review
The Child Rights Centre (CRC) is conducting the project "Child Rights in Serbia - Monitoring the Recommendations of the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child and Universal Periodic Review" within the program "Implementation of anti-discrimination policies in the Republic of Serbia" financially supported by the Republic of Serbia Government Office for Human and Minority Rights. This project will be implemented in period from 18th April to 18th October 2017.
The representative of the Child Rights Centreparticipated in the annual General Assembly of the Eurochild, a network of organisations and individuals working to improve the quality of life of children and young people.
In order to improve the capacity of the network of providers of free legal aid in the field of protection of child rights, a training entitled "Child Rights in the Systems of Health and Social Care" was held. The training was organised within the project "Improvement of child rights through the strengthening of the judicial system and social protection in Serbia", which is implemented in cooperation with Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs and UNICEF, and funded by the European Union through the IPA 2013 program.
UN Committee on the Rights of the Child adopted Concluding observations on the Second and third periodic report on the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child and made recommendations for improvement
The Committee on the Rights of the Child adopted Concluding observations on the Second and third periodic report on the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child in the Republic of Serbia and made recommendations for further improvement of the situation of children and the fulfillment of obligations undertaken by ratifying the Convention and the Optional Protocols.
